Municipal Law
The Firm has extensive experience with and knowledge of Title 52 RCW and all other statutes affecting fire protection districts, including the Open Public Records Act, Open Public Meetings Act, public works and bidding statues and the Uniform Fire Code. Snure, Law Office, PSC has worked extensively with numerous fire protection districts to coordinate financing, tax levies and bond placement. We have extensive experience in working with volunteer fire districts and have developed comprehensive policies and procedures specifically drafted for all volunteer districts. In addition to our extensive fire protection district experience, the firm’s attorneys currently represent sewer districts and, have represented numerous other municipal corporations including Water Districts, Park and Recreation Districts, and Cemetery Districts.
We also have extensive experience with and knowledge of Titles 35 and 35A RCW having worked with the cities of Tacoma, Vancouver, Kent, Renton, Des Moines, Burien, Spokane and many others in their relationship with fire districts involving annexations, consolidation of fire departments, fire service contracts and other areas.
Employment Law/Personnel Management
Our goal in personnel matters is to provide our clients with a risk management approach through the use of effective policies, procedures and management methods. The firm has extensive experience with and knowledge of the laws affecting personnel management including, RCW 41.56 the public employees collective bargaining statute, the Fair Labor Standards Act, IRS and state employment taxes, State and Federal Laws relating to employment discrimination, Labor and Industry regulations and the firefighter safety standards (WISHA and OSHA). The firm has a long history of working cooperatively with the Board for Volunteer Firefighters to resolve issues impacting volunteer districts. The firm has drafted hundreds of employment contracts, personnel policies and personnel procedures for all types of Districts. Although our philosophy of practicing law focuses on risk management and avoiding liabilities we have represented numerous fire protection districts involved in disputes and litigation involving both paid and volunteer firefighters. Thomas Burke, who is of counsel to our firm, has over 20 years of experience in all areas of employment law litigation in both state and federal courts.

Snure Law Office, PSC has previously represented clients in eminent domain proceedings, Public Records litigation, Boundary Review Board hearings, Growth Management Hearings Board hearings, Public Employment Relations hearings, unlawful detainer actions, Employment Security Department hearings, administrative appeals, Writs of Certiorari, Declaratory Judgments and employment discrimination cases.

The firm maintains a general real estate practice and regularly work swith clients in residential and commercial purchases and leases and general real estate issues.
Estate Planning
The firm has been providing estate planning services to its clients for over forty years and strives on working with clients to advise and establish estate plans including, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and to address tax planning issues.
Probate
The firm has extensive experience in settling large and small estates both through the probate process and outside of probate process.
Appellate Law
Firm attorneys have sucessfully argued before the State Supreme Court and State Court of Appeals on multiple occasions.
